I have a interview for a jobbie soon yay! first one this year wish me luck, im going to need it to continue a train of thought hinted upon by chod, on the subject of nano technology in the field of computer games.
As you sit there watching your ten thousand channel tv thats no longer programs just endless adverts, and then it happens you happen to glimpse a graphical sweep of pixels measurring well into the millions of billions as some buff fantasy character removes sizeable and perfectly modelled junks of flesh from digital bones, and as the logo of some huge conglomarate games comapny flashes up with an exceedingly hopeful release date. It dawns that one will have to upgrade their games playing gizmo, the brain and the body recoils at the thought of going into Body Computing world for another injection.
A little ahead of thought maybe but it will happen the moment we start putting technology inside us for entertainment reasons we will no longer get health insurance to cover us from the odd accident we’ll getit to cover internet viruses, and hardware upgrades, but such things maybe worth it fully immersive games in a world where people sit for hours playing any mmorp at the worlds lowest resolutions and worst internet connections will the option of playing the same games in twenty years just produce a generation of social cripples, who living on the streets are just turned off from the world but switched on inside, picture it the next time a hobo asks for money he’ll be using to pay his monthly game time costs not alchohol or drugs as he should, i feel its a long way off but the seeds have already been sown.
And so ends my blog for a while i know i promised labourius samples of my writing but i feel i should be nice for a while longer so peace out and for anyone with a spare tenner go out and buy the dandy warhols welcome to the monkey house its amazing end .G
